I havnt played for a while and I logged in for the Embark Beach update. I had 3 fourth year presents on some PVP toons so I opened them.

My account already had every 4th year white mini except for a Quetzal.

I got a Quetzal, Nian and Jora:

Whats the chance of getting that lucky?

Is it luck, a bug, or intentional?

Just how the % is nothing you can do i had the same problem

I think it was just luck.
With 10 characters, I got over 4 Wallows, 3 harpies, 5 Minotaurs and I don't remember how many Kraits.

I was thinking that something might have happened with the update, I never had this much luck before, I remember getting multiple words of madnesses the last time I opened some.

Just luck. i opend a lot of first and second ones.. i only got white pets. But all(only 3 yet) my third ones where purple and gold.

from my experience (with my hubby not playing as much)...I seem to get lots of whites and lots of duplicates...now my hubby who barely plays gets purples and golds--not sure if its because sometimes he has had the prezzie for a month or more before he opens it, or if its his incredible luck (RL he does have incredible luck)....so no ideas...

but probably just luck and randomness.

i would assume luck. or else people would be able to dedicate all mini's except the green one of a certain year, wait until b-day's, ta-da, multiple green minis to sell. hopefully anet wouldn't implement something that could be so easily abused

All chance, I have 10 characters ranging from 2-6 yearsish and I've never gotten higher then a white :/

So far, I've gotten three 5th year presents. I got a Giant Summit Herder, and a Giant Summit Herder, and a - you guessed it - Giant Summit Herder. (and the first one was already dedicated when I got the others).

So, yup - it's just luck - sometimes good, sometimes bad.
